“The designer today re-establishes the long lost contact between art and the public, between living people and art as a living thing.”
– Bruno Munari, Design as Art

Branding is all about the voice you want to project: I love finding the voice of brands so they can be best heard and understood, whilst also having their own unique inflections.

Each client has their own vision and aspirations for their brand; how they want to be heard. It's my job to dive into their head, see their idea through their eyes. A successful brand identity is one that tells the story of the brand in an instant, the way the client wants it to be told.

There's a time-honored saying in advertising that states 'a poster should hit the viewer in the eye'. The same is true of marketing in the digital age. Only now, you have the added dimension of motion, time, and music. In a world saturated with competing visuals vying for attention, it is essential that your business/ idea is as striking and distinctive as possible. If branding is what gets people to come back, marketing is what gets people there in the first place.

One of my major influences for my motion design is music. Music has always been a big part of my life and I use what I have learned through playing instruments to feed into the timing, pacing, contrast, and synchronization of the visuals I create. A well-composed video with considered use of suspense can communicate an idea in a matter of seconds and leave a lasting impression on the viewer.

The role of the designer changes each day; design is a reflection of society that adapts and evolves based on the technology available and the social climate. With this in mind, I don't like to put a label on my practice. I love new ways of doing things. In a world where technology is developing rapidly each day, there are always different and exciting opportunities.

I have lots of experience in branding, motion design, print design, and web design. I am also open to new practices and enjoy learning along the way. The end product is not as important to me as much as the design thinking and conceptualisation that lays the foundation of a good project.
